DAY 01: AIRPORT – NEGOMBO

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and after collecting your baggage, you will be met and greeted by the company representative and transferred to Negombo.

Check in to the hotel and relax.

DAY 02: NEGOMBO – WILPATTU – ANURADHAPURA (B,D)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Wilpattu National Park for an afternoon safari.

DAY 03: ANURADHAPURA – DAMBULLA – DAMBULLA/HABARANA (B,D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and transfer to Dambulla/Habarana.

Upon arrival in Dambulla, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple.

In the city of Dambulla lies a site that has been treasured by many kings since the 1st century B.C. Today, an iconic landmark in Sri Lanka, the Dambulla Rock Temple houses some of the most unique murals within five magnificently constructed cave temples flanking the Golden Temple of Dambulla. Observe the exquisite cave paintings along the walls that shelter 150 statues of Lord Buddha. As you enter the retreat, look up to the gigantic Buddha statue glittering in gold over a land that today houses an important junction in the country’s economic and cultural development.

DAY 04: DAMBULLA/HABARANA – POLONNARUWA – MINNERIYA – DAMBULLA/HABARANA (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, visit the Monkey Kingdom in Polonnaruwa.

Experience the “Monkey Kingdom” in Polonnaruwa, where you’ll get an up-close look at Sri Lanka’s vibrant primate populations, including toque macaques, purple-faced langurs, and gray langurs. This fascinating visit takes you into their world as you observe their playful interactions, complex social structures, and natural habitat amid the ruins of this ancient city. Later, embark on an afternoon safari at Minneriya National Park.

If you’re up for a serious rumble in the jungle, then Minneriya is your Colosseum! Spreading over 8,800 hectares, this sanctuary is home to elephants, herds of deer, and abundant birdlife, but its spotlight remains on swaying trunks and flapping ears. Park your jeep on the bank of the reservoir and switch off its engine. Watch carefully as herds of elephants, one by one, move onto the grass-covered banks to feed on tender shoots. In fact, this is one of the largest elephant gatherings in the world, with over 300 elephants at a time, making the park a magnet for wildlife enthusiasts across the globe.

DAY 05: DAMBULLA/HABARANA – SIGIRIYA – PINNAWALA – KANDY (B,D)

DAY 06: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA (B,D)

Your day in Nuwara Eliya starts with a view of the iconic Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, one of Asia’s oldest, before heading into town to admire the historic Tudor-style post office and other colonial-era landmarks, such as HNB Bank, Nuwara Eliya Police Station, St. Xavier’s Church, and the prestigious Grand Hotel. Next, you’ll visit the serene Victoria Park, perfect for a leisurely walk, followed by a stop at the Nuwara Eliya Racecourse, a charming remnant of British colonial influence. You’ll then head to Lake Gregory, a scenic man-made lake surrounded by mountains, offering water sports and peaceful views. DAY 08: YALA ( B,D)

DAY 09: YALA – UDAWALAWE (B,D)

DAY 11: BENTOTA/GALLE – GALLE FORT – BALAPITIYA – BENTOTA/GALLE (B,D)

Late morning, enjoy a boat ride in Balapitiya.

Kick off your tour with a captivating Madu River boat ride. Madu Lake is an ecological gem in Sri Lanka, offering a serene journey through lush mangroves and winding waterways. As you drift along, keep an eye out for vibrant birds, playful monkeys, and perhaps even a crocodile. Later in the evening, visit the Galle Dutch Fort.

The port city of Galle is situated along the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site primarily known for Galle Fort, which was first built in 1588 by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch in 1649. The attractions within the Galle Fort precinct include the Dutch Reformed Church, Old Dutch Hospital, Galle Clock Tower, and

Galle Lighthouse. The National Maritime Museum, also located within the fort, offers fascinating insights into the country’s maritime history; some of the objects on display are believed to be more than 800 years old. Walking around the city and watching the sunset are some of the top experiences in Galle.

DAY 12: BENTOTA/GALLE – KOSGODA – COLOMBO (B,D)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Colombo.

En route, visit a turtle hatchery.

Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Care Centre, a key conservation hub on Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Here, all five turtle species are protected, with hatchlings nurtured and injured adults rehabilitated before returning to the sea. Established in 1981, this sanctuary also offers volunteer and educational programs, making it an inspiring stop for learning and connecting with these incredible creatures.

Afterwards, continue your journey towards Colombo.

Upon arrival, commence a city tour in Colombo.

Colombo is Sri Lanka’s main commercial city. The official capital, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, is also within the urban area of Colombo, so Colombo is often referred to as the capital of Sri Lanka. The city has a rich colonial heritage, along with many scenic and popular attractions. Highlights such as Galle Face Green, Beira Lake, and Viharamahadevi Park are popular places for picnics and for spending quality time with loved ones. The city still has many structures from the colonial period and early history. Most of the museums you see today were once used by colonial administrators. For example, the Colombo Museum was originally built as the residence of the British Governor of Ceylon.

DAY 13: COLOMBO – AIRPORT (B)
